One of the great benefits of playing golf at Livery events is meeting like-minded individuals from other companies. Taking part in a golf day does however require a significant investment in money and time and may not always be practical, especially for those in full or part time employment or with significant family commitments. In addition to acting as a “clearing house” for formal Livery golf days, SMiGS would also like to act as a facilitator for individuals or small groups to meet informally to play at one of the 100+ golf clubs that we know Liverymen are members of.

We are establishing a platform where individual liverymen can contact each other to set up an informal 2, 3 or 4 ball game at the member’s guest green fee rate or using reciprocal and county card arrangements. We are calling this Fellowship Golf and planning on rolling it out in 2025.

To achieve this, Square Mile Golf Society will be collating key information of Liverymen who are interested in participating and their golf clubs. We already have key information about over 300 golf clubs in the Home Counties (and a few well-known regional courses).

Blending this data obliges us to comply with personal data rules. The simplest way of complying may be to make a nominal charge for participation in Fellowship Golf. However, by submitting the form you are not committed to the payment of any amount. SMiGS does NOT aim to make a profit (see our philanthropy commitment in our Vision).

If we get sufficient support, we will look at the possibility of running prizes and a leader board for those who wish to participate. Fellowship Golf is available to all Liverymen and Freemen.
